SHIRTLESS MATEO STRIKES AGAIN "Fool's Gold, the romantic comedy starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, was the top film at U.S. and Canadian theaters this weekend, garnering $22 million in ticket sales for Time Warner Inc." What, was Meet the Spartans sold out?

If I had to choose between this and the Hottie, I would poke my eyes out with a tooth brush first.

I was thinking I'd rather get an Elliot Mintz chemical burn tan then watch that crap film.

Okay . . . I admit it. I went to see it with some of my 30+ girlfriends on Saturday night, and actually really enjoyed it. Some movies are just meant to let you forget for a few hours that your love life sucks, you hate your job, and that going to a mindless romantic comedy is the only thing keeping you out of a bar on a saturday night. And that's exactly what it did. Except that we decided it was too early to call it a night when the movie let out and ended up in a bar anyway.

I just get annoyed sometimes because most of the movie critics get so caught up in their search for the perfect artsy-fartsy movie that they fail to recognize that most people who go to movies do so purely for a good laugh (or cry) and don't necessarily want to have to ponder the meaning of life.

Please don't judge me too harshly.
