Actually, prison rape isn’t funny. Even if it somehow was, your delivery still sucked.

I don’t mean to see colors, but after this and Michael Vick… And after Paris and LiLo… Is it only okay to jail African Americans?

No. 9 ilnazhad says:

rhinohumper- Hilton and Lohan were arrested for driving under the influence. Tax evasion is considered a much more serious offence.

OK I didn’t meet him that was a lie. But he is short, or so I’ve heard. I think he used to be in movies or something like that, or maybe he’s a journalist?

No. 11 Helen Skor says:

ilnazhad, as right as you are, how sad is it that drinking and driving, which could be lethal, is considered less serious than tax evasion? I don’t know if I buy that he should have to go to jail for three years though - don’t rich people have financial advisors and tax accountants to do this sort of stuff for them? Why aren’t those people in jail? It’s not like Wesley Snipes is sitting around reading the Wall Street Journal and trying to come up with ways to defraud the government - he has people for that!

Totally sucks that we lock up people for longer lengths of time than those vapid hollywood hoochies who endanger lives. This is just one of many, MANY injustices and inequities in our justice system. While it’s disgraceful, it’s great to see people talking about it! The system only sucks because we all let it suck.

Helen Skor: his tax people are going to jail, too. But in this case, it wasn’t some ‘I didn’t know what they were doing with my money’ story, Wesley was actively a tax protester, saying he didn’t have to pay taxes. So while ignorance is never an excuse, he was also knowingly in the wrong here. He’s lucky, he was facing something close to 20 years if they felony charges hadn’t been dropped.

I have to disagree with cdd, It was pretty funny. But since he’s famous he probably won’t have to go to the same prison as all the other murderers, thieves, and rapists.

Its not like he’s going to federal pound me in the ass prison. He’ll end up in a cushy country club-esque prison.

He’ll be in the white collared “conjugal visits allowed” prision.

Everyone knows that the federal government is more apt to punish someone for evading taxes rather than potentially taking a life.

No. 17 Helen Skor says:

Interesting, cdd - I hadn’t heard that his tax guys were also going to jail. BTW, did you know that the constitution doesn’t allow the federal government the authority to levy taxes? Taxes are only supposed to be charged at the state level and below. But while I oppose federal taxes, I will continue to pay mine for the very reason that I don’t want to get thrown in the clink.

Maybe he’ll get to stay in the old Hilton digs. I’m sure Paris signed the wall and left a self portrait.
