DISASTER! “[George] Lucas‘ public statements about downplaying expectations for the [new Indiana Jones] film didn’t exactly smack of confidence or enthusiasm. Numerous reports of tepid-to-zero reaction from audiences who saw CRYSTAL SKULL’s latest trailer in front of IRON MAN suggested the movie wasn’t energizing folks the way it should … And, multiple reports from sources on the shoot smelled…uneasy. They were always about what was happening, rather than how cool the movie looked, or how exciting it seemed to have Indy back in action. … There was definitely a screening of CRYSTAL SKULL within the last day or two … feedback has been ‘uniformly rough.’”

That would be a damned shame if Lucas screws up the last of the Indiana Jones movies. Audiences have been waiting for a long time for this film. Spielberg blew #2 by using his mistress soon to be wife who is a really shitty actress.

Like any movie that fans have waited too long to see, it’s bound to disappoint people. I’ll go see it, but I’m not holding my breath until it’s release.

I’m going to see Speed Racer for one reason, it’s going to be visually spectacularly. The story will most likely suck, I know that going in. My first reaction to the trailer was, “Wow, someone made a Hot Wheels movie.” If this movie is anything other that eye candy I will be surprised.

Not a Hot Wheels movie. Speed Racer is a classic of the Japanese Animation. It’s very anticipated, and it had a strong fan base. Me, I don’t care. I was not a fan of it 20 years ago, I won’t be a fan now just because Hollywood lacks originality and need to borrow from other franchises success.
