Flipping around this morning my boy landed on the video for Beat It. The Fall Out Boy Version. I told him he ruined my life - because I had successfully avoided it. It is bad. Really bad. Shit, I hope I did’t just give them an idea for another cover.

You peeked my curiosity Lisa. Unfortunately, like the proverbial cat, I should have left well enough alone. I went to youtube and watched Beat it. I like how they acknowlge they are trash right off the bat, but that was the only good part about the video.

If your going to redo an iconic song you have to step up and really bring something to it. I think the only thing they have going for them with this song is most of their fans see the original Jackson version as an ‘oldies song’, so therefor they will like this one better. Whats next from Fall Out Boy? Stairway to Heaven? Freebird? Dare I say it, will we soon be assaulted by Fall Out Boy’s take on the classic Chumbawamba song, Tubthumping?
