ALL IN THE NAME OF PUBLICITY "A year ago, he was throwing down gay-hate; now Isaiah Washington is ponying up for them? So it appears, according to Outsports, which says that the gay f-bomb-dropper has given some serious cash to a fund that's working to stop the anti-gay-marriage amendment in California."

I hated this guy's character on Grey's, and it looks like he's not much different in real life. he doesn't care… he's just trying to look good.
Damn, is it possible that someone who did something really stupid recognizes that he did something really stupid? Seriously, in life, people do change their stances on things.
Sure it's possible. But in MY opinion…the guy is a jerk. Have you read his interviews?
It could be both. Maybe he has a new career as a wedding planner - he is thinking of his bottom line!
He gives me the heeby jeebies because he looks so much like the illustrated guy from the otherwise delightful (in my memory) Picture Pages.
Kate, I have read his interviews, but the story says he donated the money as a wedding gift to someone who asked for it. Does it make it suspicious that it was his publicist asking for it? Maybe. But when people do decent things to folks they've hurt, they could just be trying to apologize.
I agree. They could. But I don't buy it in his case. Is it really donating if they ask for it? Would he have given the money to that cause if it had not been suggested? Too little too late in my opinion. After his endless whining about being kicked off the show and trying to sue and his uppity, holier-than-thou attitude… the guy is an ass.
"Is it really donating if they ask for it? Would he have given the money to that cause if it had not been suggested?"
I'm going with yes, it's still donating. It's the same as the March of Dimes putting a bucket at the checkout counter or the Salvation Army Santa or the Feed The Children commercials (which totally get to me.)
You have a point Sar. But i still dont buy that he did it because he wanted to contribute to a cause.
Yeah, I got no idea about the guy's motivation… he's one of those people who just seems more boring than something very very boring… so i can't say i've paid very close attention to stories about him
i got it - he seems more boring than a gaggle of heidis.
Whether you're pro gay marriage or not, there should be no such thing as a ban on marriage in the Constitution. When you apply for a marriage license, you apply to the state of which you are a resident of (or are getting married in). Therefore, the federal government should have no say in it one way or the other. It is currently left up to the state to issue a license, so it should stand to reason that it should be dictated by each state respectively.
