LET THE RECORD-BREAKING BEGIN "Buoyed by excellent reviews and exceptional word of mouth, the Batman adventure The Dark Knight has set a box office record for any midnight debut. … The movie made $18.5 million on Friday from its showings in 3,040 theaters, topping the $16.9 million made by the debut of 2005's Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith."

This movie is going to be a monster at the box office. It will be the movie all other summer movie will be compared to. Plus, it lives up to all the hype and then some.

I really want to see this, but crowds weird me out. I'm probably going to wait quite a while before I watch it.

I dunno about your community, but my community theatre has the movie and it wasnt packed. I saw a 6:30pm and there were like 20 ppl in the place. It was nice (the theatre and lack of crowd) the movie was amazing - but i love batman so im biased.

My husband and I saw this last night. We waited in line in the hot sun for almost 2 hours (me stupidly wearing heals) so we could have good seats. It was completely worth it! Christian Bale is Batman, so perfectly, and Heath Ledger was brilliant. What a fantastic movie! I can't wait to see it again.
