HERE IT COMES "A son and a brother of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) are accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went sour, court records show."

That's nice people, but son and brother are NOT Joe Biden.

Huh? I can't be bothered to explain the differences in the two stories to you, admittedlyaddicted.

No, if Joe Biden preached about not teaching your son and brother about ethical business deals, it would be the same. Apples and oranges AdAd.

No. 5 get over it says:

unless Joe Biden had some DIRECT involvement in said scams, I don't see the relevance. or say, if he tried to use his political influence to get it to go away. (I think this will go the way of the Whitewater investigation…only let's hope we don't spend 40 mil of taxpayer money to find out that the VP candidate got a bj while at work.)

the diff is that Palin preaches abstinence-only sex ed, and we see how well that works. I got no problem with the young woman being pregnant (yes, people make mistakes), but don't be preaching to me that abstinence is the only type of sex ed to teach while your daughter is out getting preggers at 17.

Kate, politicians are the biggest celebrities we have. We have to be able to dish about their craziness.

I would assume, possibly incorrectly but unlikely, that Joe Biden did influence his son's morals and ethics. What ELSE is Biden going to be doing in the White House if it isn't "business deals" on my behalf?

Admittedly, are you saying that it's possible for a parent to affect their child's morals and ethics? This is going to be news to the Palin family loony toon. After all, she is so not responsible for her loose daughter ..

Also, is anyone else loving the fact that Palin has said that she's happy about the "choice" her daughter has made? Is she implying that there is a choice to be made? Could she secretly be pro-choice?

I know, I'm reaching and most likely trying to be too logical .. but I can dream.

No. 14 admittedlyaddicted says:

I didn't say Palin wasn't contradictory…

That was the discussion on the radio this morning. The general consensus was that, perhaps, she was referring to adoption vs. raising the child on her own; not necessarily whether to keep it or not.

No. 15 Alice says:

Admittedly, still, it implies that there are options. But surely she made a point of mentioning the fact that her daughter kept the baby to pointedly show how anti-abortion she is. Otherwise, I can't think of a good reason for her to say how proud she was on the choice her daughter had made.

Besides, I'm sure that in a family like that, there was never a chance that Bristol would do anything but have the child and marry the father. I highly doubt there was ever any discussion. If anything, I bet Bristol was informed about what she would be doing.

No. 16 say what? says:

Alice, you're not the only one.

killorn mentioned the same thing the other day…however, he/she mentioned it in reference to John McCain saying the same thing. But, if they "respect the choice" that Bristol Palin made, can't they trust OTHER women to make the right choice for themselves? And respect whatever choice the women may make? I guess they think they know what's best for every women in every situation.

I have to wonder tho…(I apologize if this offends…)what if Bristol had gotten pregnant by way of being raped by her ex-uncle that Palin (allegedly) tried to get fired? would she still think that abortion was wrong in all cases?

Alice, I'm pretty sure she was told how all of this would go down. The first thing I said when I heard was, "well, that poor boy is getting married…"

Say what?, I'm sure Palin would say that a baby born of a rape is somehow a gift from god or some other nonsense.

If you have the kid, the kid is a miracle. That's not a comment on abortion or even aborted fetuses, just on my personal feeling on any kid who was actually born after someone was raped.

No. 20 Alice says:

I couldn't do it. I mean, I'm not even having kids with my husband. But if I was raped, and got pregnant, I have 10 abortions just to make sure I got it right.

I think it was pretty classy of Obama to make a statement about how his mom was 18 when he was born, and that family topics are off limits. YES I JUST SAID SOMETHING NICE ABOUT OBAMA, TURN ME IN TO LIB JAIL, RIGHT WING THREAD WACKOS.

Confidential to say what?: The only he/she up in this piece is on ANTM. I am a full-blown girl. Which of course means I will be voting for McCain because OMG A WOMAN IN OFFICE M I RITE LADIEZ?>???/1?

That's part of the reason why I have always found the term pro-life so offensive. Back-alley abortions kill women. And even if they don't die, they are often faced with sterility and other long-term health concerns. How is that pro-life? Also, calling themselves pro-life infers that I, as a pro-choice advocate, am anti-life or pro-death or whatever. Sorry. Ranting.
