It's Hard Being Pretty, Famous

Ann Shoket is not on the good side of Gossip Girl Blake Lively. The blonde starlet — tragically seen in the sequel to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants — pops up on Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan this month, but her cover role on Shoket’s Seventeen has her pissed. Even her rep says she’s not happy about it!

Except, well, this isn’t the worst cover on which we’ve ever seen Lively. In fact, we have three candidates that are at least equally terrible.

I don't think the others look bad at all. Seventeen covers are usually awful; the last one that Fergie was on, she was airbrushed to the point I literally had to read the cover to find out who it was.

k.shaw, I saw that one of Taylor Swift and it gave me nightmares. I don't even know who Taylor Swift is!

I think Ann Shoket is slowly trying to make the beautiful youth of today to commit suicide so she can be prettier on the scale of things.

That cover is the suck. I still want to shave her head and glue her hair to mine though.

I agree - the others are fine. This one? Not so much…

k.shaw–I think it's best that Fugly Fergie be airbrushed into oblivion on any and every magazine cover on which she appears.

Blake Lively looks pretty much like Blake Lively in the other three magazine, but her face looks like that of an underfed Trollkin in this one.

What happened to her eyes? That's what my eyes look like after one of my crying jags.

Blah blah blah, whine whine whine. Someone give me a beer before I end up saying something like, she should be more pissed at her parents. Honestly, she can suck it. Everyone has to suffer through pics that don't look like what we think we look like. Welcome to the human condition - dissapointment.

Maybe she's just not very pretty. That was mean, I know, but I just don't think she's attractive at all.

What the hell is the commotion about the cover? Maybe it's because I don't watch Gossip Girl, or maybe it's because I don't think youngsters need to be digitally "improved," but I'm not seeing the problem here.

Oh no, I can see every strand of her perfectly coloured and treated hair - GROSS!

The thing that bothers me the most is that kids who read Seventeen need to achieve their "Best Butt". Believe me, at 17, you're already at your "best butt".

My thoughts exactly Wandell…it's all downhill and fighting gravity after 20, when it comes to your arse.

Her Nylon cover is pretty bad (why didn't someone brush her hair??) and the new 17 cover is pretty sloppy too, but the others…not bad IMO.

    I agree 100% with Luz.

Getting mad at the photographer for making you look ugly is like asking, "Do these jeans make me look fat?". No they don't. The fat is making you look fat. Tubby.
