And lastly, a quote from one of his sermons at Kings Gate Church in Britain:

“The violent take it by force. People that have spiritual backbones are the ones that are going to advance. They are the ones that will move forward. I thank God for what I see happening in this place. I thank God for the vision, the passion that I can see here. And my word is this: the more violent you become, the more committed you become, the quicker you will see things happen in this region.”

No. 22 sar says:

I know I sound like a broken record, but having creationist views is absolutely not at all akin to harming people for money. Scientology is interested in endangering others for financial gain; creationism is a matter of someone's faith trumping their science. I can't believe there are people out there who feel so threatened by someone else probably being wrong.

No. 23 john says:

No. 22, I agree. I think the problem is teaching it in the educational system. Should creationism be taught? In private schools, yes. I think the major problem is that America is so behind in math and science already. Sarah palin wants creationism taught in public schools, taking away from that math and science time. The answer is simple. If you want your kid to learn creationism, put them in a private school ( I went to a private school and had an hour of religious studies a day!) Not complaining about it, just stating my opinion. Why the push for creationism in public schools, when we have so much to fix already.

Posted: Sep 24, 2008 at 11:29 am
No. 37 Ok?? says:

#36 you are kidding right? The Starr report was a joke. Clinton has never been held accountable for what he did not do as a President… he rode off of Reagan and the shit hit the fan after he left.
Oh wait Charlie Sheen said Bush planned Sept 11th. I should tell my brother that seeing how he almost died that day. Or better yet I would love to tell his best friend but he died that day.
These celebrites have no clue as they sit behind their gates and body guards. Yeah Obama can rub elbows with all of them…. I NEVER want another attack but if there was one maybe the West Coast would feel different if it happened to them. (I am not wishing for any just to clear that up.) Just that things are a lot different when they happen a little closer to home. Maybe I would be pro Obama if my family was not so effected. Not fighting with anyones opinion.. just telling you were I come from.

yeah, the shit did hit the fan after he left…but you do realize that he left a very detailed report for the incoming bush admin titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US", which described how the Al Qaeda network was in plans to fly airliners into buildings, don't you? what did bush and co. do with that report? they had 9 months to do SOMETHING, and did nothing instead.

Ok?? Just so that you will understand that we're not all a bunch of left-wing pinko commie bastards for railing against you, let me explain my position: I am a fiscal conservative and social liberal. Meaning that I think the republicans need to keep their eyes out of our bedrooms and the democrats need to keep their hands off our wallets. I'm pro-Obama because the alternative is terrible. I like John McCain, but then he had to go pick Sarah Fucking Palin to be his VP. Game, Set, Match - Obama.

No. 52 JD says:

Ok rightwingers, I'll humor you. They're not even running for the same job but just this once I'll bite. One condition though: If I'm gonna do this compare and contrast with you. STICK TO THE SUBJECT. When you realize you're wrong, don't try to switch the topic, or person in question.

So, you really wanna compare Obama's pastor issue with Palin's questionable church activity? Fine. Let's rock.

Obama: Attended a church where a pastor was made infamous by one line from one sermon from one day at that church. Yes he attended for a long time, but do you think Wright was the one in the pulpit everysingle time for the last 20 years? NO. Then Wright made himself sound worse by unappologetically reiterating himself to the media. End result: Obama has cut ties with that pastor.

Palin: Attended a church for the majority of her life that believes when the end times come, Alaska will be one of the last safe havens of humanity. They believe (as she has said herself) that the end of days, will happen in her lifetime. She wants to push her religious beliefs on the rest of the country whether we agree with her or not. Like teaching creationism, and outlawing abortion even at the risk of the mother's life/health. Also She was quoted herself as saying that the war in Iraq is a mission to the US from God.

And that's just from the top of my head. Don't make me do some homework. So, you tell me: Is listening to a controversial pastor worse, or is embracing extremist ideas, and saying them yourself, and wanting to make your extreme ideas law worse? I can't tell.

As far as the republicans: If you're sober, not in the top 1% tax bracket, aren't racist and actually think Grampy McSame and Caribou Barbie are the best choice for this country then you do need to be compared to some type of mental condition, but comparing you to people with ADD only insults people with ADD.
