dramamasks

Here at Mollygood, we're in the business of people at the top of their industry (occasionally we're in the business of people at the middle of their industry and we suppose, oftentimes, people at the very bottom of their industry, but that's not important right now). Our eyes so often on the pinnacle of "the biz," it becomes easy to forget that for every successful actor pissing away his glory days in cookie-cutter discotheques with sycophants who hate him but hate themselves more, there's dozens of fresh, talented actors outside the club chomping at the bit to be preyed upon by yes men. So we've tapped our good friend, "The Actor," to report anonymously from the front lines of the quest to get big, thereby reminding us all that celebrity is easy, acting is hard.

The most amazing thing about being an auditioning actor is that my entire life could change at some 10 minute casting on a Tuesday. In what capacity? I don't know, but every day I work to find out.

The other morning I went to an office job for a few hours and then auditioned for a "space drama" with no budget and no means of paying me ("If you max out the power thrusters, we'll lose life support! Get control of yourself!"). That night I handed out fliers in the rain. I could certainly do without the first and the last parts of that day, but without them I'm eating nothing but beans every night. A change in my financial stability would be nice.

You wont change. 4 in a row guest staring roles won't do it. Even a regular part on a show that goes . . . wait for it. . . a FULL season wont change you. What might, is thinking about it too much. Oh, and the money.

Wow, when I first started reading your other "diaries" I thought you were funny. Now I just think you are a shallow louser who wants fame to get his dick sucked by anyone thats pretty. You don't want to be an actor, you just want to be recognized. No wonder you are single now.
