Now that people younger than you are getting killed in a brutal war with no end in sight and terrorists within our borders are concocting plans to murder us at our homes, you kissing a girl 20 years your junior while fake blood rains on your pale complexion seems a bit less frightening than it used to. And while I know it's hard to believe that in only 10 years the religious right—always your most obnoxious free advertising—got a lot smarter, it seems they've finally realized that there's more important things for them to focus on than a grup stuck in Halloween, like ruling America.
You've been "pissed" at the world for over a decade now and all you've managed to contribute to its betterment is some "ominous" lyrics and rubber costumes. I hope you get lost in that bloodbath.

I'm re-reading Friday by Heinlein again, at later in the book the author makes the point that the sign of a truly dying culture is when citizens think their greatest strength is their ability to be rude to one another.
Basically, I think Marilyn Manson is a symptom of our society's dying morals. If that mentally-stunted man had been allowed to be himself as a child without ridicule and being subjected to the brainwashing church, he wouldn't have felt the need to push his idiotic ideology on the world. I'm being hypocritical by judging him this way, I know, but when you put yourself in the spotlight the way he has, you're asking to be judged.
I don't know which I like more: Cord's hilariously apt post or tlatzoteotl's serenely worded comment. I don't choose. I like both.
I admit to being a former fan of Manson (I was a kid, and he was friend of a friend). I couldn't even watch this video completely. He has lost all relevance.
I know. I went to his shows and all like 10 years ago. I still like some songs, but things like this and having 15 yr old boys fellate you on stage are just where I would have to draw the line. Fucking idiot. He's as bad as Britney, honestly, although even he is probably a better parent.
