Except Not Really

If you missed last night's American Idol elimination, this little video nicely sums up the hour-long episode in a mere five minutes. Amazing how that works out — it's almost as if the majority of last night's show was a waste of time. If you don't want to know the result, don't press play and don't keep reading.

So Carly Smithson went home, and no tears were shed on my part. She seemed like a nice enough girl, but it was obvious the producers (and Randy Jackson) were much more into her than America was. Plus, her elimination meant another week of safety for our boy Jason Castro. Dreads had a rough performance, but he's getting closer and closer to the top three. (After that I have little hope, as the David Arculeta machine and David Cook phenomenon will surely take over the finals.)

On another note: Why can't Syesha die? She's like an effing cat, and I'm growing more weary of her "look at me I'm so cute" personality by the day. Hopefully next week will be the end of her road, and in the meantime, I'm hoping Brooke works on memorizing her lyrics.

Why didn't Brooke get sent home?! Seriously, remembering the lyrics under pressure is a very important thing for a performer to be able to do. She just got the pity vote. Grrr. And why are the women so terrible this year?

No Carly should have gotten sent home. She has already had a record deal and she blew it. It isn't fair to the kids who haven't had that opprotunity. NExt we will see MC hammer on American Idol.

I think this proves that people love Evita more than Jesus. (kidding)

No, this chick got totally robbed. That girl who can't remember her lines should have gone home - if for no other reason than she is visibly irritating.
