Skadi, lots of "tough" band members profess Christianity. I myself know a lot of actual badass Christians - the 2 aren't mutually exclusive.

Anyway, a lot of metal is posturing, but there are a lot of genuine metal musicians, and to lump all metal in the same category is ridiculous. But that's not the point right now anyways, because METALLICA IS NOT METAL.

True enough, sar, true enough. I just can't get over the hypocrisy (Christians who put out songs like "God Hates Us All"?). Yeah, sure the man needs to shop, but it's still funny. Luz, we posted at the same time. I was generalizing because I was trying to be quick. I have very good friends who are in an up-and-coming death metal band who sometimes make fun of Slayer for being Christian (and who are genuine and talented), so that's my bad for not listening more carefully. I agree with you, Metallica is not metal. I was lumping them in with the hordes of shallow men that put out lame music for the express purpose of making money.

Not that it's not good to make money. However, wasting it on designer clothes is not my idea of wise spending. Give me 3 million dollars and watch me buy an island so I can get the fuck away from this fucked up so-called society.

I am more upset that Robert Trujillo is involved in this foolishness. I knew Metallica would be a bad influence on him. That being said, he is still one of my favorite bass players.

Trujillo seems to have designer cloth on him. Hetfield does not, its obvious that they have been out shopping for their wifes, or maybe Hetfields wife bought him something. Maybe a shirt etc. I mean, if you now gonna buy a black shirt like the one Trujillo wears in the pic, you would rather buy it at Hugo Boss than at H&M if you now have lots of money.

Flip flops and a washed out t-shirt promoting a biker shop does not seem too luxurious. I am glad they are more like normal people at their age, than acting like Motley Crue. Metallica have much better taste in women and cloths than most other 50 year old rockers.

These guys had to steal bikes in order to get to places coz they didn't have any money ,for christ's sake they couldn't even pay the fucking bill for a cheap hotel they stayed in at Denmark back in the days resulting in them having to run away from the Motel/Hotel.

Ok you listen to death metal but ask some of the most famous death metal bands they'd all say Metallica are one of their biggest influences if not them guys who influenced these death metal bands would say it.
