Miss Jackson one of your tits cost $550,000, feel proud.
Really? This was still an issue? That's sad.
Overreacted? just a smidge!
woowooo!!!
Teh FCC did NOT overreact. It was totally wrong to have that song and those shenanigans during the Superbowl. The MTV awards? Fine, do it there. I think the fine and the attention it got was appropriate and hopefully it will put a rein on that kind of garbage on non-cable television during family hour. Jeeez, all the talk show people tell us that parents monitoring what there kids watch is the bottom line. How are we supposed to do that when all this shit is being poured into our kids' consciousness?
Totally agree hms. They should have at least put a brief parental warning before the halftime show to let people know to usher their kiddies out of the room. Of course everyone "claims" it was all a big surprise.
I do think it got blown up BUT I don't think it should have been swept under the rug either. Why would CBS be fined and not the actual performers? I mean, IF CBS didn't know it was coming.
