Despite all the media hoopla surrounding Beyonce and Jay-Z's wedding last Friday, the couple only appeared on the cover of one tabloid (Us Weekly). Naturally, the celebrity media are being labeled as "racist" because some assume "African-Americans don't sell covers."
Except Janet Jackson was on the cover of two of Us' best-selling issues. That kind of nips the whole controversy in the bud, no?
Here's why B and Jay only landed on one cover: Because there was nothing to report that celebrity blogs hadn't already covered. It was old news, and the couple remained so tight-lipped about the entire event that the mags had better things to investigate, like whether Britney is suffering a relapse.
Case closed.

I agree. There is nothing more to say about these two that hasn't already been said. I am sure baby-bump speculation will land them in the upcoming tabloids…so they shouldn't be too upset :)
you know why they only landed one cover?? because no one cares about their wedding! especially when they're being coy about it! they were here in atlanta for his concert this week & at the afterparty they were shielding her so hard because they didnt want anyone to take pics! someone said congratulations on getting married & his response was "i dont know what you're talking about!!" really??! they are so lame! they really need to get over themselves! if they really didnt want anyone to know that they got married, they should have went to a remote/private island somewhere–not have $400,000 worth of "wedding" flowers delivered to their apartment!
Janet Jackson is not the only black person in the world so this does not nip the whole controversy in the bud! As a nation we have not come far when only whites continue to be protrayed in the media, even whites who have erratic and stupid behavior over talented blacks, asians, hispanics, and the like. That's the issue, Just like Britany Spears does not represent all of white america one black person on a cover doesn't represent all of balck american.
Tabloids aren't racist. They are parasitic succubi that feed on the souls of the vapid. They don't care about any color other than green. If the poor, ravaged children of Sierra Leone were considered to be trendy, they would be splayed across the covers selling Tom Fords cologne.

Ok tabloids print what people will buy. Why spend millions putting Jayz and Beyonce on covers when there isn't much to say. There are no pictures or conformation, etc. That doesn't make them racist. We want juicy info not boring stuff that can be summed up in a paragraph.
