And Other Motherhood Lessons From Christina

Christina Aguilera called into Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning to complain about the stench of her new son.

Since delivering Max Liron Bratman via C-section 23 days ago, Christina says she is 'going a little stir crazy' at home even though she describes motherhood as 'an incredible thing.'

'Every week something new happens… it's constant changing and he's constantly changing and doing different things and stinky things.'

Valid point: Changing diapers is the worst. The smell is enough to make anyone gag. But does anyone really believe that Christina is the one changing those diapers?

she might be. alot of new mothers are very hands on with their little ones. give it a couple more months and the nanny will be changing them for sure.

The baby doo doo doesn't really stink that bad until they start eating "solids", then it stinks so bad I get a headache.

    I think she's changing him.

I know celebs are spoiled - but mothers are mothers. Newborns are hard to resist. :-) I know mine was…and this second one on the way is sure to steal my heart too.

(I agree though - in a few months, the nanny will be "helping.")

my sister wouldn't even let her husband hold the baby for like 2 weeks after he was born, before that she hated kids. motherhood changes people. i agree, the poo doesn't smell bad until real food comes into play. i didn't mind changing my nephew until he started eating big boy food, now i magically disappear when he needs to be changed.

She is not changing those diapers. Like Britney and Angelina, they have no idea what it takes to have a kid or raise it or be a "mom", what with their entourages and nannies. That picture is making me nauseas.

Lets just hope she's the one taking care of Lil Max, it's only been 23 days. btw in my experience, the solid food thing isn't true, both of my boys had stinky diapers from the start!

Well. Changing diapers and watching your under-paid, illegal help change them is practically the same thing. Stop nitpicking. Jeeze.

Yes. I do believe Christina is changing her baby's diapers, it's true babies are irresistible! Celebs may be spoiled, but they are human. What they do in their homes is their thing, we may never know. So to say that they don't, it's just speculation now, isn't it?

…and, how on earth are babies supposed to clean themselves? I don't understand the logic.

it's true, baby poo doesn't stink until they start eating solids, unless the baby is eating formula. Formula is essentially the same thing as solids. Breastmilk poo doesn't stink or smells a little like buttermilk, because it is made for the indivudual baby and the most efficient thing for their digestive track. Basically, there is nothing left over to stink, their body uses it up. Sometimes, in the first weeks, they can go for 10 days or more with out a poop because their body is using everything up, there is no waste.

Manda, it's not just in the first weeks-it's the whole time before they start solids. My BF babies usually only had a movement about once a week (sometimes longer) See yet another reason to Breastfeed!
