Following her Best Actress and Best Song losses at the Golden Globes, Beyonce's famously kind Father told a bunch of reporters that he thinks the awards are racist. Of course, his daughter did lose to two of the most legendary artists in their fields–Meryl Streep and Prince–but he wasn't having any of that "logic."
Knowles told reporters back stage at the Beverly Hills Hilton right after the Golden Globes show ended that his daughter was outcasted and overlooked by a bureaucratic good old boy system that is still alive in 2007 as it was in 1967. "Today is MLK's birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go," he said."
Hmmmm. Maybe his back was turned when Jennifer Hudson and Prince were winning their Golden Globes and holding them in their black hands. Then, maybe his daughter's retina-singeing, gold dress caught the spotlight and blinded him while Eddie Murphy and Forest Whitaker were winning their Golden Globes. Then maybe he forgot that his daughter isn't that great in her old age. Oh, and by the way, since when has Beyonce been "working class?"

I think this is pretty much a case of, yes he may have a point, but he really isn't the one who should be saying it. Let his daughter talk about race and Hollywood.
Please. All non-white races have a long way to go in Hollywood, but not at this year's GG ceremony. In fact, the only minority group who should be rightfully pissed at being under-represented are Asians, NOT African-Americans! Hell, even Latinos scored big with "Ugly Betty" at this year's GGs. Beyonce didn't win because *she's just not a very good actress.* Her GG nomination was something her handlers campaigned for because everyone knows she has no shot at an Oscar this year (Jennifer Hudson yes, Beyonce, no).

They are racist. And when a black person claims that an organization is racist, all of the sudden everyone ridicules them, even if they are right. I would give Beyonce an award just for having that amazing body.
