Ah, CBS. We were expecting for Big Brother to not air preacher's son Ollie's homophobic rants that were captured on the live feeds — but during last night's episode, the show completely fabricated the entire scene. As you may recall, Ollie lashed out at fellow contestant Memphis during a heated argument in the backyard, and as Ollie walked away he told Memphis to "suck my dick, little faggot." Memphis replied, "What did you just call me?" and followed him inside as Ollie repeated himself multiple times. But according to last night's episode, Ollie muttered "red-headed cabbage patch kid" instead of his original rant. Uh, OK? Would it have killed CBS to either a) completely edit out that segment or b) bleep out the offensive words? Why the golden child edit? (Scene in question is at 0:50, compared to the real fight here.)

That drove me crazy too…like you said, why not just bleep it if you're going to include…but besides that, it was hands down my favorite episode…so glad he's gone.
I was totally thinking the same thing last night. I thought that cabbage patch kid remark seemed a little odd and out of place.
Is there any reality show that is actually reality, anymore??
Fake is the new real.
It's faux real.
Now if CBS could have found a way to edit all April/Ollie sex into good old Christian hand-holding, they would have done that too.
Thank goodness we now have The Cho Show.
Are you talking about the cabbage patch thing? Or the faggot thing? Either way, Ollie will be hearing from people about it. Why edit it? So, people won't be offended? That is the real world. It is not very nice, but some people just can't seem to except others for what they are. Some people still don't understand (or care) that faggot is a mean word. But, it is the real world, editing it is like sweeping it under the carpet, only to find it later. That is one of the good things about big brother. We can watch it on Showtime too unedited, so again, the point is? Punish the offender (Ollie) not CBS. Don't blame CBS for giving the people what the majority of us wants. Which is more reality and LESS editing and scripts! It is reality TV is it not?
P.S..I am so glad Ollie and Michelle were evicted!

Why even call it reality anymore? It'd be easier to just do a drama or a proper scripted show, surely?
Cris - I totally agree with you. What a panty waste Ollie is. SO SO glad he is gone
Amy- By calling it "reality" (fake), the network doesn't have to pay the contestants (actors) any sort of salary, thus making it a popular, cheap, soul-destroying genre that the networks love so much.
Goddamn the writer's strike of '99/2000. It's all their fault. And yes, I am pro-union. But still.
Sarah, the Writers Guild of America was not on strike in 1999 or 2000. The contract wasn't even up for renegotation in either of those years, but in 1998 and 2001 (and 2004 and 2007; it happens every three years). The last time the writers struck before 2007 was way back in 1988.
Really? Was it some other group? Like SAG? Dammit. I could've sworn somebody struck.
