The Chris Farley Show, an eponymous new biography about the late comedian and SNL alum, spells out something his unrelenting drug abuse should have clarified for everyone years ago: He actually didn't enjoy being made fun of for being hugely overweight and he only allowed it so that people would like him.
Chris Rock blames Farley's undoing on his deep-seated need for approval. "'Chippendales' was a weird sketch. I always hated it," says Rock, "The joke of it is, basically, 'We can't hire you because you're fat.' There's no comic twist to it. It's just [bleep]ing mean. A more mentally together Chris Farley wouldn't have done it, but Chris wanted so much to be liked. As funny as that sketch was … it's one of the things that killed him."

SAD….. ) :
"Not large or ugly enough to play up the sight gag of a man dressing as Lohan (as Chris Farley could have done)"
Oh… what's this I found?
I always thought the funny part of the sketch was Patrick Swayze looking at Farley and trying to copy his moves.
I loved that sketch. Does that make me a murderer?
ya right! next youre gunna say fat people joke about being fat only so no one else can make fun of them about it first, thus creating the impression that they are confident and happy for who they are, while really they wish to be thin, beautiful, and adored!?!?!
"…Adrian just has a much better body."
Anyone who says there's no comic twist to that sketch must have the sense of humor of a pea.
Would Chris have not done "Fat guy in a little coat…" if he'd been in a better place?
Thank god he didn't have a eating disorder
