Dippy
It's Earth Day—what better occasion to release a new record from grungy hippie favorites Blind Melon? Although Melon's original lead singer, Shannon Hoon, died in 1995 from snorting far too much cocaine, the surviving members have regrouped with a new vocalist, Travis Warren.
Above is the first single from For My Friends, "Wishing Well." It is so tremendously hippie, specifically the line "When you fall back down … Turn that frown upside-down." We suppose it's good advice that's gotten the band through some tough times, but, Jesus.

This is one of those times I'm really glad I can't view videos at work. Ugh. Blind Melon sucked when I was in high school, and it sounds like they haven't improved a bit.
I think the real question here is…will the Bee Girl be back?
Totally off topic, where's Sugar Magnolia been?
I think I remember seeing that bee girl o some VH-1 show about her time as a bee. I'm a total bitch because I just always wanted to kick her in her bee's knees. I was more into Nirvana.
well, all i can say is that my life is pretty plain.
i LOVED blind melon back in the day. this, however, is more… ehhh.
i think sugar is being run into the ground at her new snoop jobby job.
hand on sloopy
Hang on, damn mine fingers.
