Hayden Drops F-Bombs! OMG!!!11one

wenn17698463.jpg

A random blogger has decided he hates Hayden Panettiere because of a run-in the two had at an LA movie theater.

The blogger works at ArcLight Cinemas, which he insists “isn’t just a movie theatre, it’s an experience.” Sounds fascinating. The theater’s policy doesn’t allow anyone to walk in after the movie has started, and Hayden got upset because her friend didn’t make it into the theater in time.

Cheerleader is getting heated because she just doesn’t agree and doesn’t understand. Eventually the cheerleader goes so far as to drop F bombs! She said something to the effect of “F**K the policy” while flipping two birds in the general direction of X. Unacceptable! Shame on you, cheerleader. Shame on you.

We can’t really fault Hayden, because what theater thinks it’s too good to let people come in late? If you want to make your place of business more attractive, how about kicking out the people who feel the need to cackle at the loudest volume possible throughout the movie? Those people need to be removed and/or shot.

Deimos - its not stupid.
By coming in late you are ruining the experience for other customers who actually came to the movies on time.
There is nothing worse than someone coming in late - having to crawl across you to get to their seat and then spending the next few minutes asking their friend in a loud whisper … “what happened here - why is he doing that - whats going on”

As for the original poster - Whitney - you’ll be pleased to know that the Arclight does indeed put people out for talking / cackling / making noise.

Thats why its such a popular venue - they make sure its a great experience from start to finish. I won’t watch a movie anywhere else.

John Austin sounds like a whiny bitch, but he’s absolutely right. Arclight does kinda rock and one shouldn’t fuck with their policies. They do make a good movie-going experience. BUT, also, their employees are all tools/douschbags.

i don’t care how great the movie going experience is. if i’m going to pay 10 bucks to see a movie i don’t want my actions dictated by movie nazis. as for people talking during the movie, i have found a solution. take my husband with you when you go so he can yell “i hope they talk through the entire movie” at them and watch them shrink in shame. works every time.

deimos-im sure you are from rural america…but here in LA the arclight is the mecca for the movie experience…therefore the people that go there go for a reason…which is not to allow dumb teen bitches get to do whatever they want. (btw you also get assigned seating so you dont have to prowl for a spot!) =)

Ah, finally a venue where my refined palate can digest the cinematic masterpieces of our time, undisturbed.

Now, how to choose between Semi-Pro and 10,000 BC?

i’m from phoenix actually. i go to harkins and i’ve never had a problem. even when people come in late they take their seat quickly and don’t really bother anyone. is LA really so bad that you have to have people dictate your actions while going to see a movie?

I have the most deafening laugh ever. It’s odd how even when you suggest I should be shot, I find you winsome.

ps- in “rural” phoenix they treat their movie-goers like adults. i know, it’s a strange concept but it works. i’ll go back to drooling on my banjo now.

As the “random blogger,” I’d like to say that I don’t hate Hayden. Reading my post you’d see that I was disappointed. I really liked Hayden. I was just, again, disappointed and frankly surprised at how she reacted. Here’s why - she’s a big star. Not only that, she’s had a pristine record in the public eye. She cute as a button and everyone loves her. Heck, she uses her celebrity status to help with great causes. Knowing all of that, you’d think that she would have exercised a little restraint. ArcLight is in the middle of Hollywood. ANYONE could have been watching/listening. Had this been picked up by one of the bigger bloggers somehow, she would have gotten flamed big time. Let’s face it, I’m barely a blip on the blog radar. I just wanted to tell my story of what I thought was unacceptable behavior, regardless of celebrity status. As for the opinions of ArcLight and what we try to do there, we realize that it isn’t for everyone. We try and ensure a differentiated movie-going experience regardless of what you may be watching. Yes, even Semi-Pro. We like to think that people find value in that and come back. If they don’t, then they don’t.

if you were so worried about her getting “flamed” you wouldn’t have written anything at all.

I wasn’t worried about her getting flamed, I’m pointing out that this could have been a much bigger deal. As it turns out, it’s just an anecdote that everyone is questioning the validity of.

Whatever your position on the rule, flipping the employees off is indecent. They are just trying to make seven dollars an hour.

I am torn, on the one hand I hate people, and grew up in FL, where old people are always asking eachother what was just said. On the other I have a loud laugh, and when I saw Shaft in theaters (hangs head) the only thing that made it not suck was the row behind us - a group of hilarious people making fun of the movie the whole time.

Maybe we need a sliding scale?

The only people that are hating are the ones that have never been to the Arclight. Funny. The Arclight is the best theatre in Los Angeles. Not to mention one of the cleanest, and part of the reason they don’t allow people to come in late is because they don’t show you 20 commercials followed by 10 previews. They show 3 previews, then the movie starts.

No. 19 Ally says:

The thing is, I doubt that was her first trip to the ArcLight and she should have known the rules–however dumb they might be. If she or anyone else doesn’t like it don’t go there as there are plenty of other theaters in the area.

Regardless if the rule is stupid–and let’s say she didn’t know about it–a person does not need to act like a diva and flip the bird to people for doing their jobs. Act like the adult you keep trying to convince us you are. And while your at it get over yourself.

I am completely on the side of Arclight here. Hayden was completely out of line. If you are going to go to a theater, you follow their rules. You wouldn’t walk into a restaurant with food from another place, would you?

On a side note, the Arclight is easily the best theater I have ever attended. The seats are very comfortable, the hand rests are triple the size of most, you get to choose your seats, they have a rewards card, the popcorn has a great taste and the butter is real (not butter-y substitute), they have daily filmmaker/actor Q&A, show classic films, the people that work their have always been very nice to me, and best of all, they don’t let douche bags walk in after it starts.

I’ve worked with a lot of actresses, and I have to say that Hayden is easily one of the biggest divas I’ve worked with. I’m not at all surprised at this.

He already hates Hayden just because of a run-in? That’s so dumb! Plus, cinemas in our area allows late people. The only rules are don’t bring any easy-to-spill food and no putting your feet up on another chair. If I live in your area I might’ve had a shout-session with the person who made up the rules. That is very poor businessing. Business people should only care about making money, giving people what they want, and coming up with a few reasonable rules.
