Cha-Ching!

Like cartoon wolves with dollar-sign eyes, Barnes & Noble, the corporate bookstore chain that only a week ago refused to condescend and sell in their stores OJ Simpson’s If I Did It, has now decided to carry the book in their branches, citing “customer interest” (aka customer money). Of course, they will continue to not “promote” it. But I’m afraid it’s too late for that, Barnes & Noble. Or should I just say, “Barnes.”

I think it’s disgusting that stores eventually agreed to carry it but I think it’s FAR more disgusting that the Goldmans allowed the release. It wasn’t up to OJ anymore. The Goldman family voluntarily put it out there. They lost big sympathy points there, in my opinion.
See, Cord, now THAT is underhandedly disgusting. Do you catch the difference?
No, both are corporate lies. I don’t.
Best,
Cord
*drink* good job ET
or…have I been away so long that we don’t do that anymore…
Bunnie,
You are blinder than I ever realized.
Best,
Kitchy
I think everyone’s a sick fuck. The Goldmans for putting it out there, and B&N for putting it on thier shelves…and the of course OJ for actually doing it.
Oh no, we still drink. We have to if we want to get through the day.
I’m waiting for 3 for the sake of decorum. Maybe just till 2 pm. It’s Friday so I think I should get to drink an hour earlier.
Drinking starts at noon on Friday. You’re late.
EFFING CORPORATIONS. EFF THE EFFERS IS ALL I CAN SAY.
Oh well then, Tom-Ba
I can’t believe the Goldmans would allow this to be published, even for all the money in the world.
Why would any bookseller carry it? It’s a free country and they can sell whatever they want, but still . . .
I’ve thought about that Other Karen… and my best guess is that they feel like he only incriminates himself with the book. Maybe they want to make the money from his work as a kind of payback?
It’s obviously distasteful, but I mean they lost their kid, their motives can’t be tooooo bad can they?
