Ideologies
Yesterday we told you about how grizzled pepaw John McCain is using a new ad to compare Barack Obama to Britney Spears. Someone with a better memory than us remembered that, actually, Spears is known to be much more like McCain than she is the Democratic nominee. Not only are they both war heroes (Spears was in Da Nang) and older than you'd think, Spears and Arizona Johnny are also both willing to blindly follow George W Bush like gutless lemmings. Does this sound familiar: "Honestly, I think we should just trust our president in every decision that he makes, and we should just support that."

Is the video no longer available for anyone else?
Yes, that quote is very familiar. It's one of the main reasons I can't stand Twitney.
hooooold up wait a minute!
so when exactly did she say that? it was during bush? how old was she during clinton… eh that's too much work. someone out there outta know.
Lava: BS said that in '04, when she was 22 years old and the people of the U.S. could have bounced the Idiot-in-Chief from office (but did not, thanks to idiots who think as uncritically as BS).
The offence, BTW, isn't supporting Shrub unquestioningly as much as "trust(ing) our president" (any president) without question "in every decision that he makes." A child of 15 should know better than that.
I don't know about you, but I don't take advice from people who lose thier kids, wear pink wigs, and reek of Cheetos, ciggies, and Natural Lite.
Blah: You're giving her too much credit if you think she sticks to the Natural Lite. Lite? Well, maybe starting last month…
minor detail, but please don't go all "pepaw" on me like some of those other blogs. i loved the "pop-pop" mention the other day so i thought we were cooler than the pepaw crowd - i think it's better.
The word pepaw always makes me giggle.
Me too - it's just a big gimmick word at DListed - a site which, true, is next to MG on my shortcut bar… but trails far behind in my heart.
