Crazy Making Crazy

britpink

Every time you're about to say, "Jesus, she's a mother of two, can't she just stop being crazy?" you have to remember this photograph and say, "No, no she can't," before thanking Yahweh you're not famous.

More lunacy after the jump.

I'm sure JJ's and SP's tell-all book will make Joan Crawford look like Mother of the Year. She is so disturbing. I hate to watch her continue to come unglued, but I can't help it.

I just want her to get it together. I can't even laugh at her inappropriateness anymore.

People who believe that music sales charts, (Billboard, I-Tunes, etc.), accurately reflect what the general public is actually buying and listening to, would be better rewarded putting their blind faith in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. All music charts are controlled by the record companies, who manipulate sales, by buying up 10s of thousands of copies themselves, and airplay, by paying off (ahem…bribing) radio station conglomerates to give certain songs extensive airplay. I will continue saying this until it becomes common knowledge because I feel it is just another way of manipulating and controlling the masses.

No, I'm sorry Cord, but I have to respectfully disagree. First, this chick is calling the paps to follow her, even on personal matters like giving her mother a "fuck off" letter. Now if you watch any entertainment TV, as I do, you'll know that, most recently, she has been "hounded" while:
    1. going tanning
    2. buying a Justin Timberlake CD
    3. getting Starbucks
    4. shopping at Target
    5. buying makeup at a drugstore

Things that can all be done from the privacy of her own home, either online or by having one of her random frassistants do it. (Lisa, please trademark my new word.) Not that she doesn't want to get out once in a while, sure, but you can't schlep over to Target and then say, "I'm scared," when people are taking your picture. It's her own issues that are suffocating her; the paps are just there to share it with the world.

Ellen & Portia adopted a puppy & spent a ton of money having him fixed & trained but then he didn't get along with their cat. So they gave him to Ellen's hairdresser's kids & the woman who ran the shelter went to their house & took the puppy away.

It (very) slightly more complicated, but Ellen is all kinds of pissed & the shelter is kinda shady.

Ellen signed a contract saying the puppy would remain in her custody. She violated the contract, thus giving them grounds to remove the aforementioned puppy from the custody of her hairdresser. Et cetera.

Or a contract saying she wouldn't give the dog away without telling them. Or something. But the agency brought the cops along and everything.

Yeah, it was part of the adoption papers she signed. The lady from the shelter showed up saying she wanted to do a home inscpection & then literaly held the puppy in her arms for two hours till the cops showed up. The pup was still registerd (?) with the shelter so the cops had to give it back.

I can see how the shelter would want to be sure the pup would be well cared for & there were papers signed, but still…

That whole situation with Ellen DeGeneres and the puppy sounds more like the shelter seeking publicity than concern for the well-being of the pup. Seems to me finding a new home for the pup when it wasn't fitting in to the household was a reasonable thing for DeGeneres to do; from what I've read elsewhere, her big mistake was not calling the shelter to advise them of the relocation.

As for Spears, there's not a single positive thing to say about her; her need for constant attention is pathetic at best. She either was always extremely stupid, or her behaviour over the last few years has left her brain-damaged.

Wow- sounds like they're more concerned about a damn puppy than, say, Britney's kids. Who gave her the green light to take them for a night? Why not just put it in the custody agreement that they get to go to Teddy's every Thursday, that way they can spend quality time on Mamma's terms. Serioiusly. After watching Anna Nicole Smith drug it up, cringing every time Entertainment Tonight showed her holding her daughter with no one to catch the poor thing should her mother forget that she was carrying a baby, I am wondering about the role of Social Services. Oh well- at least the puppy is being looked after.

I know right! Ellen donated $600 to the shelter. I don't know if that was a "donation" to get the puppy or what.

As far as I can tell, the woman from the shelter got to the new house, scooped up the puppy & wouldn't give it back. I think the house inspection thing was a ruse (I *heart* that word) to get the pup. But the shelter sure looks like its run by a bunch of assholes now. Lets see how many "donations" they get now…

BBB, i'm something of a music freak so i know that it's not as easy to manipulate the billboard charts as it used to be. billboard actually tracks airplay now, not just adds to radio stations like in the old days, and while payola may be a factor here or there, it's impossible to manipulate it like back in the day. same with how billboard tallies sales…in the old days, they used to count the amount of cds shipped to record stores as well as those purchased. obviously this could skew things badly. now though, they actually track sales and sales only through a point of sale system. yes, it's easy to debut at number one on the album charts…not so easy to stay there. record companies are not doing well…they're in no position to purchase tens of thousands of copies of a cd to keep a certain artist in the top ten…and if they did they wouldn't be able to move the cd more than a position or two on the charts. they'd have to buy hundreds of thousands of copies per week to sustain the pole position on bilboard and there is not one record company today that can swing that financially.

beats me. but can they ever pay off more than a handful of stations anyway? plus, the way billboard tallies the hot 100, sales is as (maybe more) important than airplay…"gimme more" hit number 3 on the hot 100 based almost solely on sales (and that was mostly digital downloads). is it economically feasible for jive records to buy hundreds of thousands of digital versions of "gimme more" to get a top five record just so britney can have a hit? it doesn't make economic sense…they couldn't care less about saving face for brit…they care about making money.
