Jive Records is rushing to release Britney Spears' new album, Blackout (really?), before Internet leaks kill its desirability.
Blackout was due to land on November 12, but will now arrive on October 29…
The sudden date change of Britney's first album in four years means single Gimme More will now be released early too. It'll be available digitally from next Monday with the single hitting shop shelves on October 22.
Sources say shifting the release date to maintain public interest was decided on only after Jive's lawyers had officially ruled out killing Spears.

murder shouldn't be illegal if it benefits society
She needs to get on the Proative system.
I am confused how Jive's lawyers ruled out killing Spears - if they were any good they would be able to tell Jive how to get away with it.
Why bother anyway? No true music connoisseur would pollute their ears with such juvenile, cacophonous, caterwauling.
I'm just an all around music slut. What's new?
i caught myself bobbing my head to "gimme more" today, i was so ashamed.
Give into it.
It has a good beat to it. I hear it all the time on the radio so it is always in my ear.
I've microwaved bags of popcorn with better beats than that trash. The video is so sad- there are shots where she actually looks happy. And then I'm faced with her ass and the forced wedgie, and I remember why I need new shots of her puking on "J.R."
yay! I'm so happy they pushed up the release of Blackout!!! I think Britney looks hot in the video and I'm glad to see her on the mend.
Southie, please advise what sort of "mind enhancers" you were on while watching the video. I need to see the world, and Britney, through your eyes.
