Many of Hollywood’s beloved veteran celebrities have managed to maintain their glamorous good looks after five or more decades in the business — clearly a combination of good genes and in many cases, good doctors.
We’ve put together several galleries of recent photos featuring iconic stars — many of whom are still active in the business. The oldest actress among these grand women is 91-year-old Betty White, who stars on the TVLand sitcom ‘Hot in Cleveland.’
Angela Lansbury, 88 and Cloris Leachman, 87, are still well known in the industry and appear regularly at high profile red carpet events. Leachman even tried her hand at ‘Dancing with the Stars’ during the seventh season of the popular celebrity dance competition.
Perhaps the most active ladies in our first group are comedian Joan Rivers, 80, and Barbara Walters, 84. They both appear daily on television and have kept their skin doctors busy – having both undergone numerous procedures to keep their skin tight.
Our next group of 80-something celebs includes June Lockhart, 88, of ‘Lassie’ fame, Olympia Dukakis, 82, Jane Powell, 84, Mamie Van Doren, 82, and Eva Marie Saint, 89.
While most of the lovely ladies that we are featuring have relied on plastic surgery for an occasional nip and tuck throughout their careers, we suspect that some of Hollywood’s former actresses and television personalities have simply taken care of their faces and bodies.
Our last group features Ellen Burstyn, 80, Shirley Temple Black, 85 and famed ‘James Bond’ actress Dame Judith Dench, 78.
We absolutely can’t say enough about our last two featured actresses, 75-year-old Jane Fonda and Italian beauty Sophia Loren, 79. These two extraordinary celebrities defy all logic with their stunning sexuality.
For those of us who are already fretting about our looks — take heart. It is possible to look awesome in your dotage… we’ve just shown you 15 examples.
