Another week, another alleged confrontation between and Alec Baldwin and a member of the press.

According to The New York Post, the 30 Rock star was approached in the East Village yesterday by a newspaper reporter who asked for a comment on the lawsuit against his wife.

The actor reportedly responded by grabbing Tara Palmeri and telling her “I want you to choke to death,” as relayed in a recording the journalist played for police.

Baldwin is then accused of referring to Palmeri’s cameraman (an African-American and retired NYPD detective) as a “coon” and “a drug dealer.”

Cops were called to the scene, which took place around 11 a.m. while Baldwin was walking his dogs, and both the photographer and Baldwin filed harassment claims against each other.

The star later went on a Twitter rant in which he expressed disbelief that the photographer was actually an ex-police officer (“That can’t be!!! Ex NYPD don’t become crackhead, ex jailhouse paparazzi!”), although he later deleted these messages.

“He was saying some serious racist stuff,” G.N. Miller, the photographer, told The Post. “He said some choice words about my mother, and he was telling people in the street that I’m a drug dealer.”

Baldwin’s spokesman says Miller’s accusations are “completely false.”

Baldwin, of course, has a long history of clashing with the paparazzi. He got into a pair of angry confrontations with members of that occupation in June.

“He could have said a lot of other stuff. But he used all of the stereotypes associated with black people.”
