It doesn’t matter how many times Tyra Banks tries to make her cellulite acceptable: Anna Wintour just isn’t having it, and Andre Leon Talley made that dreadfully clear on Thursday’s Oprah.
“Most of the Vogue girls are so thin, tremendously thin, because Miss Anna don’t like fat people,” the 56-year-old Talley, who’s not so svelte himself, confided to a surprised Winfrey about his boss, Vogue’s editor in chief.
Now Conde Nast has become the whipping boy for the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance, whose agenda sounds even more garish than the queer community. They want Wintour to recognize fatties are people too, even if they have the body weight of several.
Though Oprah shouldn’t have dropped her jaw so far at Talley’s comments: The daytime queen had to drop 30 pounds before Wintour let her on the cover of Vogue.
