Clay Aiken finally admitted to People magazine that he's gay, confirming what the rest of the world has known for years. "I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things," Clay says on the cover of the mag's latest issue, which features the American Idol alum with his tiny new baby.

Some of us are more excited about this development than others, as evidenced by Mollygood's editor Cord Jefferson, who jovially announced via Gchat: "clay aiken's out!!!! post IT POST IT"

Queerty has more details, complete with the glorious cover, here.

Apples and Cameras and Inspektors

Hip parenting site Babble today posted its listicle of the worst celebrity baby names. A lot of it's the usual suspects: "Blanket," Pilot Inspektor, Apple. But did you know Arthur Ashe's daughter is named Camera? And what about Penn Jillette's bundle of joy, Moxie CrimeFighter? More here.

A Wal-Mart employee in Louisiana is in trouble with the feds for stealing a (technically) pornographic photo of Jamie Lynn Spears breast-feeding her child. There are just so many things wrong with this story, we don't know where to begin.

Jamie Lynn's fiance, Casey Aldridge, took your average I'm-a-new-teen-parent pictures on his digital camera and then ordered copies at his local Wal-Mart (of course), where one of the employees got a little too excited about a picture of a 17-year-old exposing her breast to feed a baby. This poses a problem for the creep because Jamie Lynn is a minor, and selling or buying pictures of this nature constitutes pornography. Oh, and then there's the whole issue of stealing Casey's photos.

Let this be a lesson to all of you: Don't get your photos developed at Wal-Mart. Also, don't be a pedophile.

IT'S CONFIRMED: 'SNL' IS GOING TO SUCK "Amy Poehler is spreading her small screen wings and flying away. She says she will take a break from Saturday Night Live after the November election to give birth to her first child. 'It's gonna be really hard — Boyz II Men hard — to say goodbye to yesterday,' Amy says in the new issue of Men's Vogue. 'SNL was dangerous, late-night, last-minute and star-studded, but like any good drug, you need to know when to put it down.'"

WTF

The love story of Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson inexplicably continues, despite the fact that they are rapidly becoming the most annoying couple of all time. According to sources, Tony has been pestering his Dallas Cowboys teammates by playing Jess's new country CD and even handing out autographed albums to anyone who will be suckered into it. We have a feeling no football player gets pumped up by listening to "Come On Over" on repeat.

More annoying than that, however, is Jessica's nickname for Tony: FBD, which stands for Future Baby's Daddy. But not to worry — she only calls him that behind his back because "she's playing it cool." Sounds like it.

Aww

There's nothing worse than heading back to work after a three-day weekend that went by too fast. Then again, there's nothing better than cute babies. Halle Berry took her daughter, Nahla, to the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens over the weekend, and extreme adorableness ensued. I offer these photos to help brighten your day.

Family Ties

This Us Weekly-esque picture of Rielle Hunter and her baby Francis, who may or may not be John Edwards' daughter, landed on the cover of the National Enquirer thanks to one of Rielle's sisters. Nice. Of the two potential snitches, one hasn't spoken to Rielle in 15 years and has already been previously identified as an Enquirer source. Gee, we wonder which one would sell a picture to the tabloid in exchange for a pocketful of cash?

We can't wait until this whole scandal blows over and it becomes a Lifetime movie.

Puerto Rican crooner Ricky Martin just got a new gig: daddy.

Martin's press team confirmed that the 36-year old welcomed two twin boys this week. And, no, he didn't produce them the "old-fashioned way." Why? Well, perhaps because of his rumored homosexuality, which Martin's hairdresser inadvertently revealed last year.

Even A Broken Clock Is Right Twice A Day

The suddenly reliable (but only when John Edwards is involved) National Enquirer is still on the hunt for more proof that the tabloid was correct in its reporting, although nobody is really arguing otherwise. This time around the mag reveals even more details about John and his alleged mistress, Rielle Hunter — the latter of whom was flown on a $50,000 private jet to the Virgin Islands the day before Edwards' Nightline interview. This vacation was, of course, paid for by John's pals.

And as for the poor baby involved in all of this nonsense, Rielle has refused to allow a paternity test to determine the father because she believes Edwards will marry her after his cancer-ridden wife dies. Wow, that's romantic. Also, it sounds like John might not be the baby's daddy after all. But that doesn't mean he's not a slimeball.

And Other Words You Never Wanted To Hear

It's happened: The Clay Aiken baby has graced the planet with his presence. Parker Foster Aiken was born August 8, 2008 at 8:08 a.m. Or, to simplify: 08/08/08 at 08:08. Surely this is a sign of the end of days.

To read all about what Papa Clay had to say about the birth, click through and take a peek at his blog entry. And, at right, behold the glory of Michael Sandecki, one of Clay's biggest fans and a glimpse into the future of baby Parker.

Good Luck, Kid

Baby Levi McConaughey celebrated turning one month old last night at the LA launch of his mother's handbag line. As you do. Matthew and Camila were quick to drag their son through the lines of photographers — but, to stay in good taste, they made sure to cover him with a blanket. Is it really that hard to find a babysitter in Hollywood? Also: It's good to see Camila has used her newfound popularity to launch yet another pointless fashion line.
