The first pictures of Benicio Del Toro in full Wolfman makeup and shredded garb are out. Six-time Oscar-winning makeup artist Rick Baker said the application process took about three hours. Odd, considering that, in no costuming at all, Del Toro already very much resembles an angry member of the family Canidae.

This is Benicio Del Toro, sans any makeup at all, goofing around during preproduction for The Wolf Man. Apparently it's a role he was born (and unshorn) to play.

When actors are cast as gladiators and boxers it must be bittersweet, because while it's good to work, they have to endure months of intense physical training. But when actors are cast as overweight saddies or a wolf men, as Benicio Del Toro recently was, it must be great. To prepare you get to stop worrying about social graces and your appearance. That makes for high job satisfaction and lots of hair, as you'll see after the jump.
