Despite the ridiculous Manhattan heat, Mischa Barton felt the urge to put on tights and her best fringe boots while reminding people she still exists.

Kids These Days

jonasrolledup

Here’s something we’re sick of seeing besides the Jonas brothers themselves (what do they even do?): rolled-up jacket sleeves.

Kids, if you’re not mature enough to deal with the slight discomfort that accompanies wearing a suit properly in New York City in June, you don’t deserve $3,000 suits.

Sammy, Frank and Deano wore fedoras and closely cut sharkskin numbers 24 hours a day in Las fucking Vegas, an ocean of sand and sun, and they never pulled this shit. What’s happened to the American pop star?

perezclothes

If a stunted, cruel human being attaches his name to a hastily designed line of clothes, will anybody care? No, they won’t! Not at all, in fact, as a report from the Saturday debut of Perez Hilton’s clothing line indicates:

Some freaky lil employee [of a Hollywood Hot Topic] with a handful of wrist bands asked if I wanted to meet Perez Hilton at 6pm! I was like NO, I just ate. NO one wanted wrist bans (sic) it was kinda funny.

(cue the Nelson laugh)

And girl is pissed.

Sarah Jessica Parker had 40 dresses selected for various Sex and the City premieres, and worse this Nina Ricci gown, designed by Olivier Theyskens, to the New York debut. She was assured it was the first time it had been worn by anyone in public. Except it wasn’t.

The Second Sex

sexandthewardrobes

The women on Sex and the City hate each other even more than the terrorists hate them and their freewheeling, leg-baring ways. You know this and we know this, which means the producers behind the SATC movie definitely know this. Knowing this, why do the producers seem to intentionally divide the stars even further? Publicity, m’man! Because kinship and harmony don’t mean dick when it comes to profits.

Headlining the Sex and the City movie has its perks: adoring fans, characters that fit like a glove, slipping into the latest fashions and then keeping the clothes. Right? Right?

Not so fast! Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall were shocked—shocked—when they actually couldn’t collect their fashionable duds.

“It’s in the contract that we get to keep our outfits, which is a fantastic thing, except that, for me, all of my outfits were samples,” Davis told E! News this week, at the movie’s press day. “I kept my running pants, which I love and wear them a lot, but I was like, Where are my clothes?”

As for Sarah Jessica Parker, she kept everything that wasn’t borrowed, just like back in Sex’s heyday. “I had done that over the course of the series,” she revealed. And it turned out to be très beneficial to have Carrie Bradshaw’s “vintage” clothes during one of the movie’s key montages.

“I got to keep almost everything,” said Cynthia Nixon.

But That's Not Saying Much

Here’s a sneak peek at Perez Hilton’s new line for Hot Topic, which is sure to be a hit in the “13-year-olds with low self-esteem” market.

Things

perezfur

Perez Hilton, the roly-poly gossip/celebrity/whatever, will soon release a branded clothing and accessories line.

Ranging in price from $1.75 to $46, the goods will include everything from lip gloss to flip-flops and be sold at America’s favorite hub of suburban gloom: Hot Topic.

Pick up a t-shirt and let the world know you think it’s funny when people draw sperm on women’s faces.

That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore

jpetermanface

Are we the only ones who didn’t know J Peterman was a real clothing company and not just a Seinfeld joke? Well, it is indeed real — perhaps too real, in fact.

For instance, we take slight issue with the “Owner’s Hat” (emphasis ours), the description of which reads, “Some of us work on the plantation. Some of us own the plantation. Facts are facts. This hat is for those who own the plantation.”

How Not to Live

stacylondon

I feel very strongly about this modern-day crisis of self esteem. There’s a real epidemic going on, and if in some small way I can help a woman feel better about herself, there’s nothing better.

So says Stacy London, half of the bitchy duo from TLC’s fantastically stupid program What Not to Wear, in a new interview with the Rocky Mountain News.

After the jump, see London mock a successful, talented woman for looking “funny” and dressing “weird,” all in the name of improving the self-confidence of ladies everywhere.

Greed Is Bad

marshoes

In Style magazine takes us into star closets in their latest issue. Inside the palatial walk-ins, it’s an age-old contradiction: such full wardrobes and such empty people.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler laughs that, until she paid to have her closet organized, she would often come across clothes she forgot she had. “With the tags still on them!” she howls. Mariah Carey boasts of owning over 1,000 pairs of shoes, many of which go unused in storage. Kimora Lee Simmons has 500 pairs of jeans in her 49,000-square-foot home.

Even though it is inanely sized, Mariah Carey’s shoe collection could only outfit one percent of the homeless schoolchildren in California.
