This is the problem with nervous parents telling mediocre children to "just have fun whether you win or lose." So, instead of learning to be graceful against the odds, this ray of won't-quit sunshine has decided to be fun and wacky all the way to his Idol grave. He knows people hate him at that fucking mop, and instead of trying to win their respect with a rousing song, he's instead chosen to provoke their ire with a "Crazy Hair Day" mohawk and a song with the lyric, "My pregnant mind is fat full with envy again."

He's sabotaging himself with zaniness while operating under the belief that's he's just having fun no matter what.

No, he's actually become quite famous ...with mediocre talent and crazy hair. Quite an accomplishment, actually, if that's what he was going for...fame. Fame=dollars.

what the? says:

I'll be honest. I watch the show to see what Sanjaya is going to do. Not even in a make fun of way. More in a rooting -for -the- underdog- because -despite -not -being- as- mature- as -the- others-, he's- pretty -entertaining kind of way.

So what is he supposed to do? Quit? He entered a competition and so far hasn't been eliminated. Good for him! He should ride the wave as long as he can. The show is a fucking joke anyway, they love this 'controversy' because it keeps the show in the news and gives the bloggers something to write about. He's accomplished more than Cord and 99.99999% of the commenters out here, including me. Give him some credit.

I can't wait for the day American Idol is over... not that there won't be 1,000 lame reality shows to take its place, unfortunately.

That song was kitchy when No Doubt did it. But the idea of Sanjaya sitting in some girl's bathwater creeps me the heck out.
