This Kathy Griffin divorce saga just keeps getting more interesting (for all three of you who are as thrilled about it as I am). On Monday I heard the rumor that Kathy was going to go on Larry King Live July 4th to talk about her divorce. And while I was perfectly willing to skip out on my bbq plans to watch the Kath dish, it never was to be. Page Six today confirms the rumors:
KATHY Griffin decided it was time to split from her husband, Matt Moline, when she discovered he'd been stealing her money. She told Larry King during a recent taping, "My ex-husband, without my knowledge, was sneaking into my wallet when I was asleep in the mornings and taking my ATM cards from my private accounts and withdrawing money . . . That money totalled $72,000." The segment was to have run the other day but was bumped by the North Korea missile threat and will be rescheduled.
I hope the interview is rescheduled soon, though all this news will really taint my viewing of My Life On The D-List, or maybe if you look carefully enough you'll be able to see Matt rummaging through Kathy's stuff for loose credit cards in the background. And to think he was so critical of the eBay houseguest who only wanted an iPod.
Sorry to hear about this - I really thought they were a nice couple. He was always so supportive of her, helping her get ready for shows, etc. And I thought they were pretty classy in their handling of the whole separation/divorce/reconciliation on the show.
Kathy is on Larry King tonight (7-10), 9 eastern.
