The Good Guys

Craig Ferguson, truly the most underrated talk show host on television, will release a book of memoirs in 2009 entitled American on Purpose. In it, Ferguson will recount his sundry jobs along the years, his voyage from Scotland musician to American host and his various battles with drug and alcohol addiction. It sounds too heartwarming for us, but good for him.
If you’ve not yet watched it, click through to see Ferguson’s great monologue on why he has a hard time making fun of Britney Spears.

I simply adore this man.
He is a wonderful person, and I don’t understand why more don’t watch his show.
I cannot stay up late enough to watch his show. I’m not sure if I could, that I would.
He is definately the best looking host. It’s just on to late for me too, and his guest list.
Bravo!
he’s so wonderful *dreamy sigh*
It’s a very rare person that can walk the line between funny and touching, without compromising either.
I love how people start laughing at the simple utterance of her name. What a stupid whore.
Hell, this old hag can barely keep one eye open while watching Chelsea Handler so I’ve never watched his show but he seems like a nice/funny guy….and what Janice said.
I love Craig Ferguson, he definitely has one of the most underrated late night shows out there. Screw Jay, watch Craig.
Yeah you guys are dead on - Ferguson is hilarious-
check this thing he did
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_xEaOyikb4
where he for some reason does a sketch on 10 years off the air “Murder She Wrote”.
This guy is horrible- his shows should be put on a loop and used to break detainees at Gitmo.
He’s great…if I could stay awake long enough I’d watch him every night. The BSpears monologue is pretty damn touching too.
And it helps that Ferguson is pretty easy on the eyes…though Letterman still tops that list for me. Kinky!
I happened on Mr. Ferguson’s show about 8 months ago and was hooked. He is one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever seen, but it is his honesty that gets me every time. Now, at 65, I have a small, but manageable, crush on him. Remember his talk about patriotism? It was eloquent and moving. His openness about his substance abuse problems is just not what one sees on television, and I say, “Well done, Craig Ferguson, well done.” At least someone in fantasy land is willing to step up to say that Ms. Spears desperately needs help, and does it without making either money a joke out of it.
