So, who's checked out this record-breaking Beverly Hills Chihuahua, the film that prompted one critic to remark, "Paris Hilton and lower-level office workers who own calendars featuring Weimaraners wearing hats will love it."

If you saw it, was it worth it? If yes, really?

I would consider myself a lower-level office worker and I have a Cute Overload daily desktop calendar (which, to toot my two cat's horns, I got for free because they are in it). This would put me very close to the category of people this asshat thinks would want to see and love this movie; however, the whole idea of this movie makes me want to vom.

Hehe, thanks AngiePangie! My parent's kittens were in there too! We were both excited about it! I'm trying to get my hedgehog in there but so far he hasn't passed the cut, which is weird because he is seriously adorable!

I am so jealous of the calendar kitty owners. My cat is considered geriatric (she's 13) but she is seriously sexy - sort of like the Helen Mirren of cats.

Kittenpaw my parent's had a 19 year old cat that preceded the calendar kittens. He was a tiger kitty, his eyes were all mottled, he had a tear in one ear, feline AIDS (that slut) and was a little on the skinny side, but he had so much swagger that everyone fell in love with him. Every time I saw him saunter around the house I could hear the theme from Shaft playing. I was DEVASTATED when we had to put him down. That cat was the best but never really cat calendar material. I imagine he would have gotten along well with your Helen Mirren kitty!

Oilybohunk- I love hearing about old kitties! Shaft kitty sounds like a sexy beast!

I hope my old lady lives many more years - we've been together for so long, I can't imagine her not being with me.

He was a sexy beast kittenpaw! I knew TONS of people who HATED cats but loved him. He was a charismatic kitty! Towards the end we started calling him Jurassic Kitty. He definitely was a cranky old man but still a great cat. It sounds like to me that your Helen Mirren has a lot of life left in her! I wish you guys a long life together!

STM that gif is hilarious! I can make animated gif's but I try to refrain from doing them of my cats (only two, not twenty). I fear they, combined with my single status, would invite the crazy cat lady references.

stopthemadness,

That was the coolest movie I've seen this year. You should get an animal owner oscar. And considering I'm not normally a sappy sweet person to begin with, that's saying a lot. I just have a soft spot for cute pooches who eated kitties.
