This is cute: Alicia Silverstone thinks she's still relevant. The actress was slated to guest star as a doctor on How I Met Your Mother but backed out when she was told Britney Spears would be making a cameo as her assistant.
Apparently Alicia was afraid Brit would overshadow her performance. Which would be a valid concern, if anyone remembered who she was. She should be grateful Britney is starring alongside her, as Brit actually has the ability to attract more viewers. Perhaps by "overshadow her performance" she meant "eat her"?
Producers have called in Scrubs' Sarah Chalke as Alicia's replacement, but an insider hints that the writers love Alicia so much that they plan on creating another character for her. Because she's so easy to work with.
