A judge says a woman accused of stalking John Cusack is competent to stand trial, but cannot represent herself.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Susan M. Speer made her ruling Wednesday afternoon based on a psychiatrist's evaluation of Emily Leatherman.

Of course she's competent—if we didn't have a job, we'd stalk John Cusack, too. His later work has been consistently regrettable, but the man was Lane Meyer!

Consistently regrettable? Being John Malkovich, Max, War Inc, Grace is Gone, 1408 - these are GOOD. Perhaps not so good as to wipe Must Love Dogs out of my mind, but good nonetheless. Or America's Sweethearts. Or… you know, let's just call it a draw and say he's been half and half.

Maria - I actually don't remember Soundgarden being on the album, but it's been awhile. Were they even a band when this came out?

I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

Huh. Maria, this whole thing is making me feel old - not just because now I'm all reminisce-y about my childhood Cusack-crush, but because I really can't remember Soundgarden being on the soundtrack. I think my brain is broken.

soundgarden was on the say anything soundtrack? i owned that soundtrack on cassette and i don't at all remember that.

was there like a soundtrack two, electric boogaloo that came out? you know how like dirty dancing came out and i was all outraged that the "i can mash potato" song wasn't on there, but then they made it all ok by releasing more dirty dancing?

i'm telling you, soundgarden was so not on that soundtrack. either that or i have alzheimer's.

Thanks, STM, I feel validated and less brain-broken now. I guess continuing research will need to be done on this issue. Instead of my job.

No. 20 yourmom says:

Upon research, IMDB has Soundgarden as performing "Toy Box" but has a disclaimer that says "Please note that songs listed here (and in the movie credits) cannot always be found on CD soundtracks. Please check CD track details for confirmation." SO I checked Amazon.com and it is not.

In the movie, not on the CD. Problem solved.

No. 29 rumour has it says:

Confession time:

I own both the VHS tape and DVD of Say Anything.
I own the soundtrack as well.
I also own that picture of him in this post which is currently on my magnet board. I just love that song being played in that picture/scene, "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel.
And last the most embarrassing confession. I named my cat Lloyd after his character.
