It's God's Cruel Joke
Dane Cook spoke with the New York Post about all the rumors that abound in his life, including the one that he's gay and a recent case of a mistaken death.
"You haven't made it in Hollywood until someone says you're gay. I got that one a few years ago," the stud-muffin comic tells Cosmopolitan. "Last week, I got an e-mail asking me if I was dead. There was some Web site claiming that I'd died in New Zealand while waterfall jumping.
Leave it up to this "stud-muffin" comic's fans to e-mail possibly dead people in order to find out if they are in fact dead.

I went to see my two favorite ACTUAL comedians, Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter this weekend, and before the show (at the Lakeshore here in Chicago) the manager threw a couple of t-shirts to the audience, and I caught one. It said in big red letters: "Dane Cook Sucks and You Know It." I intend to turn it into a tote bag.
Am I a jerk for liking this guy? What am I not getting? (I love M.I.B., by the way, so it's not like I have bad taste across the board!)
you arent a jerk for liking him.. but he is a jerk.. if you ever get in a situtaion where you have to deal with him (liek paying him 50 g to show up 2 hours late - or knowing ppl who went to arlington high with him… you'll see)
but liking a jerk certainly doesnt make a person a jerk. However, athough i like MIB, im thinking thats not a good defense for good taste.

Okay, thanks K and A. I feel sooo much better now. Ha ha! Seriously, I think Dane is funny, but I have only watched him on TV. The 2 hours late nonsense wouldn't fly with me for sure. Maybe someday I'll be jaded, but for now, I will continue to like him and not worry that I am turning into a bad person.
I think he is funny too, but the more I see and hear him, it's seems like everything he says is so contrived. Also, going back for more with JSimp just took him down a peg in my book.
Yeah, I am kind of in denial about the Jessica business. That chick is just trash in my book, and how can I have a secret crush on someone who likes her? Oh god, I'm back in the 10th grade again and I do not remember analytical geometry.
there is nothing funny about this guy. and i don't believe he's dating Jessica. Jessica is just desperate to be linked with SOMEBODY. anybody it seems.
OK, yeah…so….some friends and I went to go see some comedy last night. I'm telling you! Love the guy big time, but about less than 10 minutes into his set it starts to dawn on ya….DANE COOK IS GAY!!! I have horrible gay-dar but something about this guy just screams "pole smoker" Awwww, that probably wasn't nice. Seriously though….celebrity crush just got crushed by the possibility of a little man on man scenario. Still love Dane though.
