I am all for staying friends after a divorce especially if there are children involed, but this situation is just down right creepy. Their ability to be around each other like this leads me to believe Bruce and Demi's marriage was a sham right from the start.

I commend you for your kind comments. Personally, that situation would freak me out. I mean Ashton and Demi are totally wierd. But I give Bruce kudo's for being a role model for his kids. Demi and Asston really creep me out.

I think the reason they're so comfortable around each other like this is because they divorced long before Demi even started dating Ashton. As long as the divorcees aren't lunatics, there's no reason to be jealous.

I can't say that I'd enjoy taking a vacation with my step-daughter's mother and step-father, but they have agreed to move out to Kentucky or Tennesee with us once we are able to buy land out in the boonies. So, basically, we've all agreed that at some point we may be living within shouting distance of each other so that the child can have both her parents in her life at all times.

Good point, Liz! You may be on to something! Bruce is a straight male–as far as we the public know! He does look like he is FIGHTING with the fish or the reel or something! Bah. My parents amicably divorced after 27 years of marriage and are still good friends. My mother occasionally goes to lunch with my father's new wife. My dad was a pall bearer at my mom's mom's funeral. And we all still attend family events together with no animosity.

It *is* possible for people to get divorced and still act like rational adults, you know. Maybe even in Hollywood…

Bruce is hanging around Demi and Ashton probably because he wants to make sure Ashton doesn't try to hit on one of his kids. Ashton is closer in age to the step-kids than he is to Demi. Think about it. Bruce ain't no dummy.
