It Begins

Fearful that some Republican 527 group, or Michelle Malkin, might grab an image of Barack Obama with two Muslim women wearing headscarves in the background, Barack’s campaign volunteers barred a pair of his supporters from sitting behind the podium at a rally in Detroit, where Al Gore officially endorsed him.

I don't want to make excuses for Obama's camp but I think that if the same ladies were at a McCain rally they'd be told to move as well.
It's a an even sadder day in politics when things get this dirty people who earnestly want to be involved are turned away for the sake of image.
What's really sad is that they should have let them sit there because now he's going to be damned that he didn't. Either way he's going to be blasted on Fox news being called a hypocrite. But it would have showed more integrity if he had let those ladies sit there.
PS. I know politics had been at an all time low recently. But when there is a feeling that maybe that's about to change. It's a bit of a disappointment to see it's just business as usual. I'm still going to vote regardless.
You might want to say religiously intolerant, rather than racist…not all Muslims are African American, right???
But what do I know, I'm only another crazy McCain supporter.
BA is right, Muslim isn't a race it's a religion.
Of course this wasn't written by Cord…he would never make such a faux pas.
I think that if these women were true Obama supporters thay wouldn't be offended at at all because they would realized that him being photographed near them would give the stupid republicans something to start a rumor and run with. And besides .. .Im sure the republican party sent them there for that reason. Its american politics were talking.
