We made that quick Gallagher crack earlier because, like Gallagher's comedy, it was easy. But then we remembered that our seven-year-old selves used to really like the way Gallagher made a mess. A lot of our friends enjoyed it, too. Which got us to thinking: Is Gallagher to comedy what Raffi is to music? Or was he never funny, meaning we were just wrong all those years ago? Is anyone out there courageous enough to say they still think Gallagher is funny?

I never thought he was funny, not even all those years ago.

If nothing else, he popularized the skullet, so he's got merit there, I'd say.

i liked him as a kid/teenager and he's still funny now that I'm an adult, but I'll say it's not as funny now.

No, he was never funny. When I was little, I thought Scooby Doo was hilarious. I was very, very wrong.

I think it's funny when a person gets called a gallagher when they are sporting similar hair cuts.

Go to any famous comic's show and people will laugh at un-funny stuff. Dane Cook is a good example. I think it's because these people paid for the tickets. I have told myself many a fine dining experience was delicious because I paid so much. Or maybe all of these people are just at the Blue Collar tour now

Yes, he is a tad corney. That is his charm. I saw him back in the mid 80s.

I almost fell of my chair with laughter when he honked his fake weiner in this clip.

I still think Gallagher is funny.

Now what? (I'm not sure why I'm feeling slightly defensive out here on this limb. Someone, get me a ladder, thanks) :-)

the comparison to Raffi is unfair…Raffi is awesome- and yes as I type this I'm listening to him and watching my son sing with glee…maybe we're corny too :)

He's always corny and and often stupid, but I'd take Gallagher over Andrew Dice Clay or Sam Kinison any day.

I liked it when I was a kid but not so much now. I do see his appeal because some people like corny prop humor, some people like sexual humor, some like deadpan …. and so on.
