It seems to me that he's more ignorant than hateful. I mean, I'm not in a position to judge whether his use of the Nig word was appropriate, because I'm white. And I don't say that word because, well, it's wrong. That and I don't have any problems with black people, and don't feel the need to demoralize them. But I just think that there are waaay more people, on TV and in entertainment in general, whose personal opinions are probably significantly more offensive than this guy's. Seriously- I know people- in my extended family even- who think it's okay to say that, and they aren't hatemongers. Really! They're just ignorant and inappropriate. That doesn't mean it's acceptable, but I wouldn't be afraid to bring a black friend to meet them. At least he wasn't yelling it at someone. Does that make a difference? Seriously, I don't know what it's like to deal with a situation like that.

I'm cutting Dog some slack- I don't really try to tune in to the show, but I'm not gonna boycott him or something. I mean, did we expect more from a guy who wears a roach clip in his extensions? Did we?

I agree with Lale…I'm definitely more inclined to think ignorance was the culprit here. And she makes a very valid point on the roach clip statment.

Keep in mind that he's under a lot of pressure to highlight and tease his hair before each episode. That's gotta take a toll on a guy.

I don't think he's a racist. I think he just said something stupid and got thrown under the bus for it. I do think he really tries to make a positive change in the world and thats a lot more than most of us do.

The last time I posted about him I said that people shouldn't be surprised when white trash reality tv bounty hunters are racist pieces of shit. People got pissed at me already for saying it, so, if you are considering responding to this by telling me I judge all white trash bounty hunters and am racist, I have already been told.

Im inclined to err on the side of ignorance regarding this guy. I once saw an episode where he said "I'm 5'7 so when I wear these boots with a 3" heel, I'm 5'11". No seriously, he said it.

I also don't think he is trying to make a positive change in the world. He is a BAIL BONDSMAN–that means that he is posting bond for the people he "catches" so they can get out of jail and roam free until their court dates. As a "bounty hunter," he is just going to find his own clients when they don't show up for court
