Shame On You, America
Jason Castro, also known as The One With The Dreads, was surprisingly in the bottom three last night on American Idol’s results show. Ryan Seacrest quickly put him — and us — out of misery by declaring him safe, but not before Jason made a comment about how he figured there would be “a big shocker” with him in the bottom three. Many denounced Dreads, calling him “smug,” but we think it was a typical Jason moment in which he got so nervous he just started rambling (and rambling and rambling).

He was just rambling. It goes hand in hand with the munchies and cotton mouth.
He was nervous and rambling, but it was a really dumb thing to say. He should’ve just said something neutral like “Every week there’s a chance that any of us will be in this spot.”
I’m much more concerned with why the hell Ramiele and Kristy weren’t in the bottom three.

Yeah, I dont think he was being smug or cocky. I think more like stoned out of his fucking mind is more like it. You could almost see him thinking “woah, dude….this is cool I’m on american idol all effed up”.

I went to high school with one of the guys listed as Jason’s friend in the audience a couple of weeks ago, and let me just tell you, HE was a huge douche. You know what they say…You are the company you keep…

i think that people need to stop judging by appearance. all in all, i think he just got carried away and nervous for a moment.
He’s not smug at all…i think he was just nervous and ryan is always putting them on the spot. He’s a very sincere guy and his nerves just got the best of him…he’s also adorable.

Where is it thought that he is “being cocky” ? when he said he was being called out late and it was going to be a big shocker? I’m sure I would have noticed if he was being cocky, he wasn’t, and I agree that he was rambling.
