Amy Winehouse's husband — whom we lovingly refer to as "Blake Incarcerated" — almost died from a drug overdose. In prison. Because they deal out free heroin?
Blake Fielder-Civil was rushed to the jail's hospital block when he collapsed in agony after taking what he thought was heroin.
Guards found the 35-year-old writhing in pain and vomiting violently in a cell. They instantly set off alarms and activated emergency procedures to save his life.
A probe was launched and prison officers found he had taken a drug believed to be heroin, mixed with a toxic substance.
Just days before the overdose he was hauled in front of prison bosses for failing THREE random drug tests. He was locked in solitary as a punishment, but was soon back in search of a fix.
After failing the drug tests, Blake was banned from all contact with the outside world — leaving him fearful over his relationship with Amy.
Um, how the hell did he manage to get his hands on drugs four times in a row? And why hasn't Amy left him yet?

He could not even get a o.d. done right. The sooner he kills himself the better. Better for amy, better for the fans, and better for the music
It could be a win win.
Chelsea, are you in love with Amy?
for real
I think Chels is supplying Blake with the smack, so that she can make a move on Amy when Blake kicks it.
I would if I could
I love it how in the article they say that the heroin was mixed with a "toxic substance". Isnt heroin already toxic?
Drugs are so easy to acquire in prison. Quite often the guards are in on it so that helps, but also, it's not unusual for people practice slight of hand tricks or to smuggle drugs into prison before they get there. Nothing like swallowing a bag full of heroin only to crap it out a few days later.
I recently found out my uncle had been able to get drugs while he was incarcerated for a year (was pulled over by cops in Louisiana for having a black friend in his car - the friend happened to have cocaine on him). Everyone in the family was happy that he'd be forced to go cold turkey on the alcohol and shit, then to find out he'd done nothing of the sort. Husband informed my very naive self that people get paid to shove shit up their ass and get caught doing something minor that will let them out in a few weeks and also avoid a cavity search.
What a nice deal. If I shove cocaine up my butt then I can avoid a cavity search. Either way the butthole is the loser.
I think the jail doctors would have been allowed a free pass for their "OOPSIE, we couldn't save him." on this one.
Sheesh, doesn't anyone watch OZ!?!
