Sad Days

Jesse L Martin, aka Detective Ed Green, last night appeared in his final episode of Law & Order, the gradually worsening drama in which he starred for nine wonderful seasons. His swan song revealed that the famously squeaky-clean Green had a secret history of violence and gambling addiction, and the narrative was pretty good until the kind-of-corny deus ex machina spoiled the ending. Since so many of you weirdos tape television now, we won't tell you what happens, but do give it a look.

He and Lennie (Jerry Orbach) were the best together! I'll miss him. Thank goodness for 5 million hours of L&O reruns on cable.

It's time for the series to wind down. Make next season (I assume the producers have committed to a next season) its last. Then make the season after that SVU's last. And they may as well pull the plug on CI now - that show never was much good except for Dinofrio.

Even my son (who's only four) knows all about Det. Ed Green…he'll be missed but it was time to move on I suppose…the ending was hoaky…not sure how to feel about Anderson cause I was starting to love the Sisto with Martin…guess we'll find out next week

Oh my god!! I cried when he mentioned Lenny dying…this was a good episode, I was just sad to see him go. They could have just killed him off, but this was better, he had to go somehow. I'm not too excited about Anthony Anderson, either. I think with the addition of Jeremy Sisto and Linus Roache, it has really picked up this season, I like the sexual tension between Cutter and Connie. Of course, the show has not been the same since Jerry Orbach's death, which I still haven't accepted, but it's a lot better than it was with Fontana, who sucked. And while I don't hate Sam Waterston, I think he does better in a smaller role. I would like to conclude this paper by saying that overall, it was not a bad way for Jesse Martin to go.

I thought the show should have died with Jerry Orbach until this season. The show has been revitalized with the addition of Jeremy Sisto and Linus Roache. But…now with Jesse leaving I think it is going to go back down to the Dennis Farina years. I am no fan of Anthony Anderson & could think of a number of better fits. And I am glad I'm not the only one that teared up when they mentioned Lenny.

When they showed him on the stoop looking all sad after the dude got shot I just burst out, "what did you do Ed?" LOL. My hubby just shook his head. I got a little weepy with the Lenny bit too.

And god help me when/if Elliot leaves SVU. I need my Det. Stabler fix each week. Rawr.
