Saccharine screamer Ty Pennington, whose fame already rests on a fairly dubious foundation, now faces DUI charges that are sure to tarnish his image even more.

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" star Ty Pennington was arrested early Saturday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs while driving.

The hottie carpenter, who got his start on the TLC hit "Trading Spaces," was arrested at 12:35 AM. He was released two hours later after posting $5000 bail.

When asked his feelings on the matter, original "hottie carpenter," Jesus, said he thinks Pennington should be forgiven.

Sure, why not. We can forgive a guy that screams: MOVE THAT BUS! Every week, because he reveals an AWESOME renovated house. Besides, Ty is probably self-medicating for his ADD.

He's an exploitative, annoying, hyper, crybaby. Now he's really going to get with the program. People tend to forget it's the sponsors and not the team that's bankrolling the show and making the team look like saintly philanthropists. It's good that that half the recipients TRULY need the help, but some of the other sob stories are ridiculous. One or two episodes were about able-bodied couples, who each lived in crappy housing, wanted to get married and get their brood of kids under one roof. They should have gotten off their lazy asses and gotten better paying jobs. They didn't suffer the hardships the others did. I only saw a few episodes. That was enough!
