'What Doesn't Kill You Simply Makes You Stranger'
The first five minutes of The Dark Knight has hit the Web, so feel free to spoil yourself before it's removed. No Bale, but we catch a glimpse of Heath Ledger and The Joker at work. Who's going with me to see this movie at midnight the day it's released?

I am! I am!! (waving frantically)…ummm I'm a nerd, the first five minutes of this was leaked a long time ago I thought?????
Evidently it was leaked and then quickly removed?
Ahhhh…ok I am not losing it then. The footage is much clearer in your link though.
Gotta say, I found that tedious. Shoulda been cut to 2 minutes.
I work in the building next where this was filmed in Chicago and I spent a lot of time stalking the set over my lunch breaks. Its very cool to see how all the random stuff we saw take place is coming together. Can't wait to see it in its entirety!
I loved it.
The fiance and I are literally stopping to see it at midnight on our way to Jacksonville for a wedding.

So they ripped off dialogue from the Aeon Flux cartoon?
I can't see the footage, so I might not be understanding this fully, but, Frowny, are you seriously saying you think they stole the phrase "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" from Aeon Flux? Google Nietzsche if that is indeed what you are implying.
I won't be going to see this at midnight, since I'm struggling to eat right now (seriously, unpaid maternity leave SUCKS), but I'll go see it once it gets to the Dollar Theatre.
I just said seriously twice. How unoriginal of me, lol.
No, I am somewhat familiar with the works of Nietzsche, though I found his long anti-woman diatribes about as riveting as Dave Sim's. . . which is to say not at all. Instead, I'd ask you to read the quote again, and examine how it differs from Nietzsche's initial quote. I first heard the DIFFERENT version on Aeon Flux.
I realize it only differs by one letter, but I'd rather not be condescended to in error.
"I'd rather not be condescended to in error." That might be my new favorite quote. :)
You're hilarious, Regis/Frowny. I didn't imply I was a fan of the man, and I only meant to enlighten someone I thought might be woefully ignorant, not to condescend.
Anyway, new day, new eyesight, apparently. I only just noticed that it was "stranger", not "stronger".
I've got my tickets for the midnight showing already!
Yeah, I'm the youngest of five children, and there's 10 years between me and my closest sibling in age. So among my many shortcomings is a short fuse when I know I'm right and someone tells me I'm wrong. I do apologize.
