Haters

[Fox News] has released a statement saying it should not have referred to Mr. Obama’s wife, Michelle, as “Obama’s Baby Mama,’’ as it did on Wednesday in an on-screen headline commonly called a “chyron.”
“A producer on the program exercised poor judgment in using this chyron during the segment,” Bill Shine, a Fox News senior vice president, said in a statement.
…
The Oxford English Dictionary defines the term as one “chiefly in African-American usage” that refers to, “The mother of a man’s child, who is not his wife nor (in most cases) his current or exclusive partner.”
Y'know, if you have to apologize for calling an historical black man's wife a tramp and his children bastards, maybe it's time to hang up the microphones. You fucking dicks.

I wouldn't say that phrase is exclusive to black people, but it was in poor taste and they were stupid for saying it. They (FOX) just seem to dig themselves deeper when it comes to things like this. If someone made an insulting remark about John McCains wife, they'd be all over it.
Every time I start to think these hacks could not possibly sink any lower into the quagmire of their own bullshit, they always manage to find a way.
She is one harsh looking person.
I love Michelle Obama's style.
What the F is wrong with Fox news? I would like to lump all republicans in with this but I'm thinking there might be one republican out there that's not a racist idiot…right?
Rut Roe I agree. The Sharpie™ eyebrows on that news reporter ( I use that term loosely) do look a little harsh.
Actually that "reporter" looks like a blow up doll in that screen grab…it's pretty awesome and talk about fun with stereotypes!
The talking head in that screen grab is a dim-witted, blithering idiot who could never get hired anywhere BUT Fox. Consider the source, people. Does anyone who breathes through their nose get their news from that channel?
…And yet my grandparents wouldn't get their news anywhere else. *blows head off*
Am I stupid or awesome for not knowing what "blue gums" means?
Oh for Gods sake!! Michelle Obama has introduced her husband as her "babies Daddy" at campaign rallies. Is it just any excuse to after Fox?
You're awesome, Kona.
It's a low, low move from Fox…a channel I can only bring myself to watch when I'm tipsy and looking for something to heckle when "Top Chef" and "Project Runway" are between seasons. :)
Cord, I LOVE the last sentence of this post. May I add, "AMEN!"
Hate these new sayings or phrases. Hate them!!!
No women should be in that position, and no women should be said to be in that position if she is not. Men need to marry the mother of thier child. Even if they do not get on well, go to counseling, try to act like grown ups and make it work for the child. Sacrafice all your stupid ego's and bullshit feelings, and raise the child right. Fuck you, do EVERYTHING for your child.
kittenpaw. . . I'm a republican, but only in a fiscal sense. I'm pretty liberal about everything else. Gay marriage is fine, weed is fine, pro-choice is fine…rest assured that we aren't all whack job Huckabee humpers.
k.shaw I agree.
People use the term all the time and not necessarily to demean anyone or insinuate that one is tramp or their kids bastards.
She is his baby mama.
Cord.. Maybe you should hang up the keyboard.
Btw, why shouldn't we criticize Michelle Obama for the things that she says? If Barack wants his wife to be left alone then maybe she should get out the campaign trail.
There is a HUGE difference between her introducing him as "my babies Daddy" and calling her his "baby Mama"!
http://www.urbandictionary.com.....=blue+gums
This is a horrible term, and Fox News probably will use something like it or something similar. No matter how anyone tries to justify baby daddy or baby mama and Fox's use of it, that network just has the knack of making everything they do sound racist and hateful.
Ana - I'm glad you said that. Barack can't be upset with people criticizing his wife if she is going to put herself out there. Once you start political stumping for someone, all bets are off.
Ana-I don't think the problem is that people are criticizing Michelle Obama. Naturally it's all right to criticize what people say while they're campaigning. The point of this post, I believe, is that Fox News was NOT criticizing what she said at all, but rather insinuating bad things about her character. Not only is it ridiculous, false, and offensive, it is childish. If Fox has a problem with her, they ought to be able to give valid reasons and ditch the name-calling.
