OMFG

nymaggossipgirlcover

What's up with the inappropriate Gossip Girl promotion? Between the steamy OMFG sex scene ads and this stripped-down cover of the latest issue of New York magazine, we have a hard time believing any parents will be happy letting their school-age children watch the show tonight when it comes back from hiatus.

I just finished the article; it's actually not that bad and explains all this hoopla. I watch the show too, but only because I'm too lazy to change the channel, and I like it. It's very sex-in-the-cityish. Also, teenagers like this crap, remember 90210 and Melrose Place? That stuff was smutty too.

While I wholeheartedly agree and certainly mean no disrespect, I find it amusing that this site is plastered with Gossip Girl ads right now.

I don't know that this show is really targeted towards school-age "children". It's for the high school crowd, and if high school kids can't watch some passionate make out scenes (cuz let's face it, that's all they are. It's not like you can see boob or anything) then apparently I was way ahead of the curve while in high school. Like Maria said, it's not much different than 90210 or Melrose Place. If parent's are letting their children (age 1-12) watch this show and have a problem with the steamy ads that are being run right now, then perhaps the parent's should think about blocking it from their TV.

The blonde on the top left just wearing her underwear and a see-through shirt? That girl is 15. Is this cover even legal?

She's not naked so I'd say it's legal. No different than wearing the bikini's that are manufactured now-a-days. Not to mention, she's not of age so if her parent's didn't approve of this cover shoot then I'm sure it never would have been done in the first place.
Everyone is all up in arms about this Gossip Girl show. Now let's take a minute and ask ourselves, "Am I upset over the ads that are being run, or am I upset because it gives me something to bitch about?" The bottom line is this: If you don't like the ads that are being run for the show, don't watch it!

    "Best. Show. Ever."

Really? Adults wrote this headline? While I think it's sort of fun, it's also sort of lame.

Also, I won't be watching it anymore if they don't put it on the CW website. I'm far too embarrassed to watch this sort of trash around my husband.

    i watch this show.

    i like this show.

it is my not so secret shame.

blair waldorf would beat heidi montag down in a thunderdome match.

now i have to shake my fist at myself.

i yearn for the days when i didn't know who heidi montag was and confused the hills with one tree hill. that day was about 90 days ago.

    le sigh.
