Diminutive producer Jermaine Dupri has reportedly said he's intentionally pitting girlfriend Janet Jackson against extravagant screecher Mariah Carey in a charts war scheduled for next year. Adding jerk to stupid, Dupri will be producing Mariah Carey's album, leaving production duties of Janet's record up to friend LA Reid. Quote Dupri, "I'm going to do Mariah, and we're going to make it seem like we're in competition to see who's going to have the biggest album of the year." I'm sure Janet's really excited about this. And I'm sure women everywhere are excited to know that male puppet masters still get a kick out of playing with their dolls every once in a while.

How does JD manage to produce hit after hit for Mariah and every other artist out there but ZERO for his girlfriend? I'm a fan of both girls but Janet really needs her next album to sell like hotcakes considering how her last two flopped so bad. Maybe JD is doing her a favor by not producing this one since he did horrible on 20 y.o.
I think Janet is trying too hard to repeat past successes, instead of ageing gracefully. Sort of like Madonna (and her sweet front door from yesterday). For the record, I stopped liking Mariah around 1997, so I don't think she's so hot either.
OH HELLS TO THE NO ! How can you hate Mariah i think Shes just as good as she was back then! She still puts out the hits and is at the top. As to idk why JD is more successful with Mariah? Maybe its his high vocals ?
